School Begins Again
Crazy to think that school has started again. Summer came and went and we hardly noticed.
This is David's shopping list of things he is going to need to start school. Note the boxing gloves. He is funny! He started 7th grade which is the beginning of Junior High here. I hope he doesn't need boxing gloves.
The 7th graders go to school a day before the rest of the school so they can get a feel or a fill for the school and find their classes with out the rest of the students there. So David started school the day before our other kids. On this morning Abi was having surgery to get the two screws removed from her ankle, so mom wasn't home to take the pictures. I gave dad instructions and he did a fine job! He was going to be funny and take 120, but only had time for 26 before the bus came.
Running to the bus! I thought of going around to all of David's 8 teachers and taking pictures but thought that might be a little embarrassing, but maybe we will do that on parent teacher conference. :)
Back to school night was the night before school started, so we snapped some pictures of the kids with their teachers. Abi will be in 6th grade, her teacher is Mrs. Carter. (I bet teachers love blogs!) Notice she has her hospital bracelet on still. She was on lortab that day, but didn't want to miss meeting her new teacher. Mrs. Carter has been David PE teacher the past two years.
William will be in 2nd grade, his teacher is Mrs. Jenkins.
Spencer is my goin' all day 1st grader, his teacher is Mrs. Crawford.
I can't believe my baby is this old!
So for the first day of school. The boys had to wear almost matching shirts. They were so excited for the school year to start. A few nights before William said, "It is going to feel so good to be back in school!" He is so funny! I hope that saying will last all 9 months!
We are at a brand new elementary it is close enough for the kids to walk or ride their bikes. They choose to ride their bikes. It will be so nice and think of all the extra exercise we are going to get!
Abi in the afternoon was finally feeling good enough to make it to part of the first day. That lortab was making her nauseous then I remember we had anti nausea medicine from her first surgery so she was a little doped up but went with a smile.
Abi survived her half day. She went back the second day and made it the whole day. Good Luck kids hope we can all make it a great year!!!!!! Love you guys!!!!

Schools Out for Summer!
The Bretey kids last day of school. Hard to believe another school year has come and gone. The only year my kids will all be in Elementary school.
Spencer had a great K-garten year! We were lucky enough to get Mrs. Paxman again! She was William's K-garten teacher too. Spence has had a great start to his many years in school!
Daivd had an amazing teacher as well. He has been in the Accellerated Learning Lab Program aka ALL. It has been a great couple years that have been challenging yet fulling. He has learned so much and had so many great experiences. We are proud of him for wanting to do something and sticking to it and accomplishing it! Now he is already for Junior High next year! I am not sure I am though.I am so proud of all my kids for all their hard work and the way they act when they are away from home. Their teacher's feed back is always possitive, which is a relief as a parent. Luckily we have had great teacher that really care too. Thank heavens for good teachers! Thanks for a great year!!!! Now lets make it a great summer!

Spencer's End of K-garten

Spencer had Mother Goose Olympics. They had about 10 different activities for the kids and then a otter pop at the end. Fun times in K-garten!

K-garten Graduation day. Hard to believe he is really that old. He had a great K-garten year! Next year he will be in school all day and I will be home all day alone. I am going to miss you Spence next year.
Cutest Kindergartner around!

Hope Of America
Fifth grade students from all over the county can participate in Hope of America, if they choose.
I think it is a pretty amazing program teaching patriotism and American History. David did it last year and Abi this year. Despite the crowd I still think it is worth attending.
I Love America
This is an older women dancing group. Jean's Golden Girls. They really got the groove. This one is a 92 year young lady doing the splits. Pretty amazing!!!! I am not sure if it is Jean herself, but how would you like to do that at 92?
This is America
Thank you Military!!!

I went to Spencer's class to read stories. We did something a little different and the kids loved it!!!!!! It was pretty fun. They got to be the actual story. I got some masks from Story Time Felts and finally put them to good use.
The 3 Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf
Every child got to participate in one of the stories. They had a great time!

School Days
Abi had a wax museum at school. She was Walt Disney. She did a great job. They had to dress up like the person and memorize a few quotes from them.
100's day for William and Spencer. I know this was for ever ago, but I still wanted to post them.
William drew a shark and put Swedish Fish all over. The shark is saying "I'm hungry". It was all is own idea.
Spencer made a 100's day hat at school. He lost a few pieces on the way home, but it was still so cute!
