New tool to save time!

So I learn new things about the blogging world and one of the latest things my sister in-law showed me is Google Reader. It is so nice to be able to go to one place and see if any one has new post. It is a great tool and a time saver. Now I just need to figure out how to put the blogs that are secured on there. Thanks Kristin!

Bear River State Park

We took a little day trip over to Evanston, WY and stopped at Bear River State Park. If you ever want to take a day trip and see lots of wild life and go a picnic it is the perfect place.
We weren't there for long, but the kids had a great time!
They have deer, jack rabbits, beaver, muskrat, bald eagles, geese, ducks, red fox, badgers, moose and resident populations of bison and elk.
We didn't see them all, but enough to make the kids very excited! The other nice thing is that it is a little cooler up there. I have to post a few of these for my brothers.
The elk was very cool.
The the shrubs you can see a moose. It even has antlers.
I thought these seagulls were cool all lined up on the fence posts.
Just like the birds. Funny thing is we had taken these pictures first, and then saw the birds as we were driving out of the park.

The kids found the link grass. I am not sure what it is called, but you can take it apart and make whistles out of each section. They thought it was so cool. It brought back a childhood memory for me. We used to play with that grass too. FUN!

I saw the little boys trying to sneak up on this seagull and thought it was so cute.
Kids are so entertained by simple things.

Kids Playing Kubb

Kubb has become another of our favorite outdoor games. We could spend hours in our back yard playing. Our kids are getting to be pretty good players and can almost out play us. We love games where the whole family can play together. It is also a great one to share with friends and family when they come over to play.

Here are pictures of the kids and Cami playing Kubb. They are all so entertaining!

Here they are together. Cami is my niece. Her blog is Cami's Creations under my family blogs. You should check it out, she is pretty amazing. She has decided to go on a mission.
She is just waiting for her call. We are going to miss her tons when she is gone.
She is a great gal to have around!

Coach's Bridals

Abi's Coach did some of her bridal picts with her team gymnastic girls. Something I may not have thought of, but make sense, since it is a big part of her life. The girls thought it was great! Abi is on the top row second one in from the right. Abi is the first one sitting on the left in the front.

Ellis Island and Colonial Days

We went to the reenactment of people who immigrated through Ellis Island.
It was very well put together. David learned about it in 5th grade and Abi will be learning it soon. I realized we need to do more of these kinds of things with our kids that teach American History and instill Patriotism. It was worth attending!
Climbing the tree at Scera Park.
William, Tim and Spencer
David on the ground.
Singing "I'm Proud to be an American"
Now on to Colonial Days

Here we are at the Crandall Historic Printing Press Museum.
The kids are watching intently at the process of printing the Gutenberg Bible from 1452. Very interesting Museum. If you have the chance to go you should do it.
Here is the site for a virtual tour.

KC getting to pull the Devil's Tail. William taking a hand at Blacksmithing.

The kids are helping the man make brooms.
The had to wined some kind of string to weave through the top of the broom to hold it all together.

This was also a very interesting activity. We will definitely attend this one again some year too. How we sure do appreciate all the modern convinces!!!!

4th of July Morning

We love to play Disc Golf!
There are a few courses around. This time we are out in Saratoga at a nine basket course. David's mom introduced it to us a few years ago. It is a great family, everyone play activity. And after you purchase some discs it is free. It is a lot of fun.
If any one knows of a great course let me know.
David's sister and boys and cousin and her boys came to celebrate they holiday with us.
We had a great time with them all.
David, KC, and Bryce
Spence showing us how it is done.
Spencer, Jace, and William
William fell in the water trying to retrieve his disc and got wet that would be
the reason for the shirt hanging on his back side.
You always have to have some crazy face pictures!
Michelle the real pro!

Maybe if you lean a little more it will go where you want it to. :)
