New Years Eve

We went south for new years to hang out with my family. They have some serious snow, which was perfect for what David wanted to do.We went to the Dude Ranch for some snow shoeing.
This is the Hurst's cabin the kids could just climb on the roof without any trouble. Klea thought it would be good to shovel the snow off the roof. So that is why they got up.
Abi and Spencer on top.
David and Kade
Spencer trying to get up. Such a cute little snow bunny!
Spencer found the horse swing to play on.
Lizz and my dad.
William after tubing for a while. He was covered in snow. Some how we got all the way to b-town without his winter coat. He survived with his BYU hoody.
My dad and Trevor helping David make a snow cave. David wanted to try making a snow cave in preparations for a winter snow camp.
Trevor helping get the snow out of the cave.
David inside the snow cave. It was quite spacious, but I rather not be an occupant.

Abi lookin' in the cave.
Me, Trevor, Lizz, My dad, and Spencer right before we headed up the big hill. It actually wasn't too bad climbing the hill with the snow shoes. I think this is just the beginnings of our snow shoeing adventures.

Happy 13th Birthday!

David turns 13!
Abi was so sweet to get her brother some of his favorite subjects on posters.
Abi is quite thoughtful! He got a cord to hook up the new pickup for his guitar to the amp.
He was very excited and surprised to know he had been playing his guitar with the pickup in it for 3 weeks. Now his playing can be amplified!
He has been working on some merit badges and needed to visit some government or state buildings. SO we all went to the state capital building.
It is an amazing building!
The is some beautiful rock walls throughout the building!
Everyone should go check it out. It is a great place for photo shoots too.

Thanksgiving Talent Show

On Thanksgiving we had a Talent Show. It was very fun. The kids were very excited to share one of their own talents.
KC and Michelle sang a fun song about MILK. Very good KC! Loved it. Abi shared some card tricks. And they were very tricky!
Abi also shared one of her new found talents of making balloons. A kid favorite!
Spencer and William did a fun song. William is behind Spencer with his arms in the sheet as the arms in the dress. He put lipstick on Spence and had him eat a sucker. It is pretty hilarious!
Tim showing off some of Abi's balloon creations.
Jace with a very fancy crown!
David playing his guitar.
Spencer doing a little dance/gymnastics. He has quite the MOVES!
Tim and Abi taking a turn at the sheet talent. It was really funny!!!
The couple I didn't get picture of was Tim singing his very own and very creative version of the 12 days of Christmas, and Jace did a cute little skit about doggy droppings. Grammy also talked to us about some ancestors that had some great talents.
Here are the awards that everyone received.
You all did a great job and we will definitely have to do it again.
David took David and KC to the temple to do baptisms for the dead.
It was a neat experience for them.
We also went out to Green Canyon Springs and swam in the Hot Springs. On our way in we saw this oh so very interesting car. I don't think I have ever seen anything like it.
Somebody has been very creative!
I like the shark fin on top and the teeth on the very front.
Some seriously random things glued to the hood of the car.
This is Abi inside the hot springs pool. It was very warm and they had an even hotter but smaller pool in the other room. We had a good time swimming and playing!
